This is a beautiful vintage Zenith MJ1035 radio and stereo. Cosmetically it is in excellent condition with the greatest flaw being the chipped veneer on the back bottom of the right side as can be seen in the 3rd picture. The rest of the veneer looks great! The slight discoloration on top of the external speaker cabinet in the 2nd photo is just dust. On the bottom panel on the front there is some sticky paper residue that you can see in the 1st two photos. This is just residue that can be easily removed. There is what looks like might be a red light beneath the "Zenith" insignia on the front. If it is a light (and it may not be) it does not light up. However both the orange and green lights on the dial that correspond to the FM and AM bands do work. All of the tubes are inside and appear to be original with the exception of a Zenith 12ax7 tube which I removed (and kept to use in my guitar amp) and replaced with a generic Chinese tube. The last time I turned this radio on only one channel seemed to be working. The channel corresponding to the external speaker was not sounding so the problem could just be a bad connection. I don't know. This thing is so cool! I would love to keep it and refurbish it myself but I do not have the time. Obviously a radio of this age is only suitable for someone able or willing to refurbish it with fresh caps etc. I am selling this as is. I ship fast! Happy shopping!
