General Radio Precision Wavemeter Type No 724-A Serial No 1562 General Radio Co, Cambridge MASS. U.S.A. 16 kc - 50 Mc This is a Vintage General Radio (GE) 724A Precision Wavemeter with 7 Bakelite Coils, Wooden Case and Original Operating Instructions. This came from my Grandfather's home Electronics Workshop who was an Electrical Engineer with RCA. It is in fully functional condition, I tested it at 20kHz and 100MHz. Requires 4 "D" Batteries. The faceplate is in excellent condition though the right and bottom side of the wooden assembly housing have a few scratches. This is from the 1940's and "research revealed that this instrument was security classified during WWII and tested radio wavelengths of some of the top secret weapons".
