SHIPPING & PACKING ARE BOTH INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. We present the Sentinel Tube Radio model 309. A seldom seen red Plaskon(?) or Bakelite(?) radio that has been electronically restored to play. It looks just gorgeous. There is no body damage. Electronically, the tubes and resistors were checked and replaced where needed. The paper/wax and the electrolytics were replaced. There is a working dial light which can be seen working in the video below. A new extra long powercord was installed. I note that somewhere along the way the original backboard flat wired built in antenna was replaced with a a new type. In the photo of the back there is a thin solid wire that originates from the replaced antenna. A longer antenna would greatly improve the reception. The radio pulls in the strong local stations well. The radio will be well bubble wrapped and bpxed for shipment. The red color goes through the plaskon or bakeliet material. The radio measures almost 8 inches wide, almost 5 inches in depth, and almost 6 inches in height. This beauty will be well bubble wrapped and well protected within the shipping container for its journey to its new home.
