That offers a noise free, great audio quality up to 15KHz (complies with AMAX receivers specifications)! NO NEED FOR CRYSTAL CHANGE, THAT ADD COST TO SET IT ON FREQUENCY! With the DDS frequency programmable synthesizer of our ASMAX-1B AM Stereo unit, you don't have to worry about finding and pay extra money to order a specific crystal to set the transmitting frequency of your unit, as is with most part 15 AM STEREO transmitters available! NOTE: The offer is for a ready made & tested ASMAX-1B Board! The 4x20 LUE BACKLITED LCD with ribbon cable is included and if you request it, at the first line can show the name of your station! Keypad is not included, so you can use any PUSH-ON switches you want! The offer is valid while supplies last. TRANSMITTING FREQUENCY SELECTION MENU FROM DISPLAY! The 4X20 LCD display will provide the working frequency of the transmitter and all other informations for the menu settings by using only four button keys. These are used for selecting UP, DOWN, MENU, ENTER. There is a 6PIN connector to connetc the buttons of your choice. The buttons to use should be "PUSH-ON" type as are the standard tact switches. We can also preprogram the unit to show your station name at the LCD first line! With 1KHz frequency step selection covers both the 10KHz US and 9KHz EU AM channel spacing while gives the ability to "tune" inbetween of them (ie. for use with older NON digital readout radios) and by using only four keys you can set menu selectable options as, mono/stereo broadcasting, RF output ON/OFF, etc. Frequency can be set anywhere inside the AM Medium Wave broadcast band from 520 to 1710KHz (and by request you can have the EU - HAM version that goes up to 2000KHz) BROADCASTING TIMER MENU SETTINGS! A unique feature of our ASMAX-1B AM Transmitter board, is the user programmable BROADCASTING TIMER SETTING! No other AM part-15 unit has this capability! The special menu function is the "ON AIR" TIMER SETTING, with week day/hour/min for powering on & off the RF out. This special menu function can be set by you, to automatically turn on and off your broadcast at specific time on a day or week base! For example if you like to work only during the daytime and shut it down at nightime, you can do that by programming the ON & OFF time and leave it unattented to work! Basic and user friendly installation! All you have to do is to connect L & R audio and you will send it wirelessly using ie. a whip antenna (see below for more info on antenna construction for Part-15 AM devices). The distance varies with surrounding conditions. The typical RF output PEP power is 100mW [according to US FCC Part 15.219] for US/CANADA or 400mW MAXIMUM [EU & HAM Version] at 50 Ohm, over the entire band. We have made it with a BROADBAND DESIGN,so no variable caps or coil taps to adjust! Reception can be on any regular AM MONO or AM STEREO RADIO and you can set easily without any hardware changes (ie. crystal removal) the working frequency anywhere from 520KHz to 1700KHz (special HAM model for 520-2000KHz covering the 160m band) with a step of 1KHz that covers both the US - AMERICAN 10KHz & International 9KHz AM broadcast channel spacing! NOTE: The RF output power is 120mW Peak Envelope Power (P.E.P) for US / CANADA units and that is full power peaks with modulation signal at 99% level! The RF PEP is calculated as ~4 times the UNMODULATED CARRIER POWER on AM transmitters and is NOT calculated the same way as the DC INPUT Power that the Part15.219 requires! For a 100mW DC IN POWER (at an UNMODULATED final amplifier stage), a transmitter can provide easily a 100% AM modulated PEP of more than 100mW RF signal, and still be under the legal requirements! It has two independently adjustable audio inputs, for LEFTand RIGHT channels with modified 50usec or 75usec pre-emphasis and a 15KHz brick wall low-pass filtering (depending on country). You can change the broadcast frequency on the fly using incremental speed tuning. Just press the UP or DOWN button to go up or down the frequencies. After ENTER is pressed the DDS is re-programmed with the new transmission frequency. The power-on frequency and all other settings can be saved to the built-in non-volatile memory at the press of a key. The unit meets all FCC (Part-15.219) requirements for AM transmitters. It has an excellent spectral purity with harmonics rejection better than -35dBc (out of band) as can be seen in a Spectrum Analyser, out-of-band spurious output better than -50dBc, and accuracy of the lock-on frequency better than +/- 0.2Hz. You can manually turn the RF output on/off, or use the built-in real-time clock to set a daily or weekend schedule for automatic turning on/off the transmitter at a specific time. With this option, one can leave the unit at a remote site and have it operate only for the specified hours. A C-QUAM Stereo encoding system is built-in and provides crystal clear audio up to 15KHz and with a channel separation of more than 35dB. Optionally, this system can be de-activated via a menu selection in case you need to use the device as a standard Mono AM transmitter. The board requires 12 - 15VDC for the 100mW PART-15.219 US compatible model (or 24VDC for 400mW PEP for out of US or HAM users ) @ 450mA maximum. That makes it capable to work inside a car!
